Paper Dolls
Have you had the chance to read my novel, Paper Dolls, yet? If you love Christian novels with unpredictable twists and strong threads of faith, then please check it out.
Here is a review:
I'm big on women's fiction and really enjoyed Kara R Hunt's debut "Paper Dolls".
The story takes place in Habakkuk, small town USA, and flips between Mary, Eve, Priscilla, Kite and Lydia's point of views. Each journey was bittersweet, with challenges and tough decisions along with happier moments, and with 5 different POVs, there's a large cast, so stick with it in case you feel a little overwhelmed at the beginning trying to keep track of people etc.
I loved how these women were dealing with real life problems and struggled like we sometimes do in life, but how many clung to God in their time of need... like we should do in life. 😊 Some revelations were gritty, which added to the realism and heightened the tension. The dialogue between characters flowed naturally, and I got to a point where I couldn't put the book down.
A fabulous, gritty and unique Christian Fiction debut! Bravo!

Book Overview:
Paper can be torn and dolls can break.
So can humans.
Kite Tanner, a widow, struggles with the sudden loss of her husband.
Priscilla Martin, the minister’s daughter, pursues money and men with passion.
Lydia Dooley, a prayer-warrior, battles a brain tumor and a daughter who can’t forget the sins of her mother’s past.
Eve Stanton, a talented Christian singer and songwriter, is brought to her knees when the truth about her marriage is revealed.
Mary Rabin, kidnapped from her front yard at the age of eight, returns forty years later to reunite with the family and friends she’d fought for decades to find her way back to.
The bonds of family and friendship are tested.
Will the women’s faith in God and each other stand the test of time? Or will it crumple like paper?
