One of the things that inspired me to write a book was me beyond starving for a good story. My book was originally a screenplay. I had just suffered through another terrible movie and its terrible script. I couldn't believe that people were really getting paid to fail so miserably. Having absolutely no doubt that I could do fifty times better, I began writing my first screenplay. I then decided to expand the screenplay into a book (and hey, I know that it's usually done in the reverse). And now we have: The Cycle Breakers: The Real Superhero Story.
