Liftoff #14!
A good (nearly) end of May to you all!
Overall, it’s been another decent month of writing, with no better symbol than this: As of yesterday, my Alternate History short story “Chistka” (set in the timeline of my earlier novella Divided Worlds: An Alternate Space Race) has ben officially published on Amazon Kindle!
Editing and other prep for this work took a little longer than I liked, thanks to various Outside World demands, but it nonetheless has reached (digital) shelves within the planned “end-of-May” deadline stretch, leaving me a bit of time to relax before the next publication project. That will probably be another Civil War-themed AH short story, from what was originally intended to be an anthology; haven’t yet decided which one, but should have it nailed down–and the cover design/editing begun–by the end of next week, latest.
Other writing is going well right now, for the most part. The gap-filling and new work on Revelations, the fourth book in my AH Cross & Flag series, has slowed a bit lately (thanks again, Outside World and “ennui”), but I expect to have another two of the former bridged by this weekend, at the very least. After that, it’s mainly action- rather than dialogue-heavy scenes (the latter of which has long been the hardest, in any project) ahead, so there’s still hope right now that the draft’ll be finished before June ends, as planned–or at worst, not long after.
That’s everything of note for now; by all the signs, I’ll have even more next month! Keep an eye out here or on my author page(s), and have a great start to summer!
