May 2024 Wrap Up

May was a mixture of beautiful moments and also some hard ones. There were some difficult days mentally and also some good ones. Through it all, I’m thankful for God who is faithful always and will never leave me or forsake me.

Some of my family and I got to go see Unsung Hero in theaters! It’s such a beautiful and uplifting movie about faith and family and it’s one of my new favorites!

It was so awesome getting to see the Northern Lights in Texas through our phone lens! God is so amazing!

My brother celebrated his birthday in May, and it was fun getting to celebrate him! We played a VR mini game and had lunch and sweets! Love you Ethan! Grateful God made you my brother!

We also celebrated Mother’s Day! We went to church and my dad grilled burgers! Love you Mom! Super thankful for you!

I went to my first Southern Gospel concert, and I really enjoyed it! Got to see Travis Clark perform, and also got introduced to the music of The Erwins, Joseph Habedank, and Karen Peck and New River. It was a really encouraging concert for me and I’m so glad I was able to go!

I thought this was the coolest service dog! He was huge!

I also switched from working afternoons to mornings with my nanny job, and finished up edits on my new book coming out hopefully soon! Also got to go see my cousin’s band concert and my two cousins tennis tournament!

What I’m Grateful for: God’s unconditional love and faithfulness, finding a new favorite artist, Christian concerts that leave me encouraged even though I don’t know the songs, good friends, watermelon lemonade, laughs on phone calls with friends, new music about Jesus and mental health, smiles from babies, how God has created rest, planning travels to visit friends, and planning things to do with a friend who is coming to visit me.

What I’ve Been Listening To: No Regrets by Grace Graber, Life Story album by The Erwins, Mental Help album by Josh Wilson, Lean On Me by Stephen Stanley, If My Heart Was a House by Owl City, and The Reason by Ben Lawrence and JSteph,

What I’ve Been Reading: The Ten Commandments of Our Fake Marriage by J.M. Brinson, Christy Miller Collection Volume 1 by Robin Jones Gunn, and Loyalty, Luke by Pepper Basham.

How was your May? What has God been teaching you? How can I be praying for you?

-Hannah
