I've been immersed in writing a new novel, so it's been a while since I've posted. However, Crossing Day was recently published, and the Kindle will be free until June 13. Here is a link:
https://tinyurl.com/crossing-day Crossing Day is a wild thriller set 160 years after the Confederacy won its independence in the Civil War. So here we are in modern times, but slaves of African descent still perform heavy labor in the South. That seems normal to the teenagers in my story who attend high school in Alabama. That is until a shocking event wakes them to the injustice. Now, despite the danger, they decide to help a slave girl escape. Will they succeed?
I'm excited about this book. Feedback from early readers has been great! They say that in addition to being a gripping thriller, Crossing Day is a thought-provoking read. I would love to hear what you think!!
