In 1977, hired by her parents, I photographed a 10-year-old girl with blond hair and big eyes. Later, when I wrote NUMBER THE STARS, one of those photos was used on the cover of that book. The little girl was actually Swedish and had the Scandinavian look that was just right.

I want to be a righter I want to get my stories out there but how do I do it. im a 16 year old girl who has a dream but how do I get my dream started how do I get it going????? all my friend reads what I right and they love it because its not just a story its my story its about how I found a place to call home its about how I when from place to place and wished for nun but a place to call home some where I can stay so where I can feel safe in. will you give me tips on how to get my stories going???
