The journey is like the ebb and flow of the ocean. Some days, when you receive praise or feedback, you can feel you are right where you are supposed to be. However, on other days, the mountain can feel like an unbearable climb.

And on those days, there always seems to be some silver lining or reminder made visible to help quell the anxiety or the frustration.

Today, as the team and I met to review upcoming content concepts, I became hypercritical of my work and the content that I have been sharing, generating self-doubt and angst. Then suddenly, I received a personal call from my sister with news that brightened my day and changed my mood completely. But it wasn't just what she called to tell me; it was what she had to say about my journey that made the difference.

She let me know that she was proud of me. Proud of me for doing all the things that I have ever set out to do, and for that reason she knows I will be a great aunt to her unborn child.

We all have journeys, none of which are easy, but we are often reminded in the smallest ways, as I was today, that we are not alone. No matter how quiet the moment may be… someone is always listening.
