July and August Wrap Up!

July was such a packed and awesome month that I didn’t have time to get a July Wrap Up post up at the end of the month, so decided to combine July and August together! The last couple months have brought so many sweet memories but also some challenging times as well. God has been leading me to trust Him more, even in the hard times. It’s an area I struggle in, but I’m so thankful for His patience and love for me.

My mom celebrated her birthday in July! It was so fun getting to spend the day with her!

Sweet gifts from my friend Noelle!

For the 4th of July, we went to watch a fireworks show! It was awesome!

I was so glad to be able to celebrate my good friend Mikayla’s birthday with her at her birthday party! I had a lot of fun!

The second week of July I headed to visit two of my friends for the week, the first being my sweet friend Bekah. It was such a blessing getting to spend time together in person for the first time!

Got to meet her rabbit, sweet Winter Moon!

Hallmark Movie Watching!

Met the sweetest cat that I was very tempted to take home with me hehe!

Had some of the best pizza I’ve had at Jailhouse Pizza in Kentucky! Would definitely recommend, and the restaurant itself was really cool!

Midweek, I went and visited my friend Cherith for a few days and had the best time! We went and saw Churchhill Downs where the Kentucky Derby is run, and it was so cool!

We did a day trip down to Nashville one day and went to this giant bookstore McKay’s, tried out a cute coffee shop called Elroy Coffee, and went and had lunch and explored downtown Nashville with another friend Kiana! Was an awesome day!

My good friend, Rachel, came and visited me for a few days! It was so fun getting to hang out with her!

I got to go see The Friends Tour! Jordan Blaine, Katy Reynolds, and Jonathan Cyphers were awesome, and it was such an encouraging night!

The end of July and the beginning of August I got to spend with one of my good friends, Noelle! It was so awesome getting to spend some time with her.

Pizookies from BJ’s are so good!

Got to work on some reels and posts for Ink Drinker’s Book Box, my friends and my business! Including filming a reel with a chess board when I don’t play chess haha! Was a lot of fun!

Donnie and Daisy, our kind of adopted ducks! They make us smile!

What I’m Grateful For: God’s sovereignty and faithfulness, Hiking with Bekah, seeing a mama deer and her twin babies on a hike, seeing baby turkeys for the first time, watching Hallmark movies, visiting Churchhill Downs with Cherith, road tripping to Nashville, good burgers with Kiana and Cherith, laughter with friends, trying a cute new coffee shop, visiting McKay’s, uplifting conversations that encourage me that I’m not alone and encourage me in my walk with Christ, Rachel coming to visit me, unlimited ice cream at The Muesum of Ice Cream, a girl’s night at an inn, riding horses, Mexican food, thrifting, finding cute pants and a dress at a thrift store, some time in the mountains with Noelle, gluten free food, attending my cousin’s cross country meet, sweet times playing Paw Patrol one of the children I nanny, encouraging and kind comments about Ink Drinker’s Book Box, and The Lord’s unconditional love.

What I’m Reading: Christy Miller Volumes 4-6 by Robin Jones Gunn, Mortal Queens by Victoria McCombs, and The Glass Road by Alyssa Schwartz.

What I’m Listening To: The Breakthrough Album by Grace Graber, Ups and Downs by Mass Anthem, BLVRS, and Anthem X, Wings by Anthem Lights, I Feel Home by Joseph O’Brien, Dare You To Move by Alive City and Joseph O’Brien, Just Wanna Know Me, You, grief on a wednesday by Katy Reynolds, For The First Time and The Comeback Kid EP by Jonathan Cyphers.

How have your past couple months been? What has The Lord been teaching you?

God loves you so much!
