Most books that I read by favorite preachers and teachers have value. But some stand out as references. I've added these books, the ones which have been most helpful to me in walking out the Christian life, walking by faith as a new creature, hand and hand and in communion with Christ. Of course, the primary book is the Bible. But that's not just a book, it's a living two-sided mirror and a burning two-edged sword that guides, defines and draws one into the shelter of the Most High, again and again. It is the daily go-to for any who would grow and live in in Him. It should be not only read but spoken, and meditated upon, for maximum value.

The others listed under "recommended" are mere books, written by mere men, yet extremely helpful in mapping the journey the Bible defines. Because sometimes, when His footsteps disappear into the sea, these books can show you where they went. These are books almost entirely free from manipulation or theatrics. They are the best of the best that I have found for support for advancing the Kingdom of God from your perfected spirit into your soul and body. Each and every one is a workbook for living (and enjoying) your faith. Though I am sure there are others, these are the ones which came to me and spoke to me clearly, and continue to do so, some for many years.

I suppose that is the greatest complimentary review one can give to any human written book, is it not?
