Blackness Castle

Blackness Castle is a 15th-century fortress located on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, in Scotland. And see the little crab? When we entered the castle, there it was inside the tunnel of a walkway. He had to travel a long way to find his way in there.

Notice all the rocky terrain inside? Can you imagine trying to maneuver over that all the time? The rocks near that one entry into the keep was slippery and though it looks easy to navigate, like there’s a path, it’s not all that smooth and yet it is smooth enough to make it very slippery. It was misting on us that day. Very well preserved medieval castle.

Can you imagine our homes lasting that long?

I’m still redoing my website. Off to work and then having lunch with my granddaughter!

Darla Taylor Beautiful castle! I think the crab was lost. :) Sorry the rocks were slippery. That could be bad to have do all the time. You'd think they would fix that. If a tourist gets hurt, it could be bad.

Glad you had a great trip. :)

Hope you enjoyed lunch with K.

Take care, have a fantastic day and a wonderful weekend. <3
