So, what does jazz & book have in common? I'll tell you.
Imagine that on a Wednesday evening, right about 9 p.m., you turn on your stereo, mute your TV to a favorite show you can still follow without sound, and John Coltrane's "Summertime" gently pipes in. Then you start reading an engrossing mystery.
You get to a section in the book where the protagonist has scored a win, and the song crescendos with a low B-flat rumble. You rest the book aside to bask in the ambiance.
Yeah....just like yin and yang. You smile in satisfaction...
That's the connection, folks.
