Charity
They say charity begins at home. But why does it have to start in a specific location?
The art of benevolence to others is age-old and timeless, a tradition that connects us to our ancestors. However, its lustre now has a less burnish in the age of social media where everything has to be about, me, me, me. And when you challenge, petulance rears its head in the form of "...I'm building my brand..."
So, how much time is left to really help others, and just momentarily forget your own woes and petty peaves? Remember, in helping others, we often find solace in our troubles.
And then some are convinced they're doing it right telling everyone, "...I give back, every chance I get..."
Then, let me ask, what did you take that you're giving back? Me cae mal este la frase...
Instead, why not just do your 'good' deed quietly and silently?
- Take your old books to the library.
- Give Kindle books without motive
- Read to the kindergarten near you.
It's the good deeds you do when no one is watching that counts!
