I have one more in-person event this year at the Troy Public Library. It’s so much fun to talk with readers and authors. If you are in southeast Michigan, stop by and say hi!

The pic on the very bottom of this post is me with my first two published romance novellas at my first book signing. I was so nervous that nobody would come to the indie bookstore, Paperback Outlet, which was then in Warren, Michigan. I discovered Paperback Outlet when I was a newspaper reporter covering a book signing at the indie bookstore, which was near our newspaper office.

Owners Annie and Gaye graciously hosted newbie me as the only author signing. They had, in the past, hosted big name authors like Suzanne Brockmann and Nora Roberts. Annie gave me the best advice — to write longer stories. My first eight books were novellas. I gave it a try. The next five were between 40,000 and 60,000 words. I will be forever grateful to them for giving me a start. Talented photographer Julie Snyder, a colleague at the newspaper, took my picture.

Julie also did the cover of my first novella, Under the Riptides, a paranormal merman romance novella in my five-book series. Julie was the model for the cover, too! I bought her photograph and the publishing house I was with approved it for the cover. Since I bought the photo, I can use it again when I release it again. I have obtained the rights back to my first eight books and can’t wait to put them out there again! Stay tuned.

The first pic at the bottom of this post is my current stock at the last book signing I did in September. I have published 14 books to date. The middle pic is the fun graphic for the book signing coming up.

In other news, thanks to all who purchased Reaching for Forever when it was on sale for .99 Oct. 14! I was a number one bestseller on Amazon. Yay!!
