Still stunned by how the election results manifested. Not just with the result per se, but with the repetition of the same damn mistake that got the angry clown elected before.

The loser of the big prize appeared to me to have had it in the bag the night of the debate, then promptly went all loosey-goosey immediately afterwards, as in going all "girly" (just like her predecessor two elections ago) when it was all along the mouthy brain-dead macho men she needed to convince. Like maybe sow some heavy-duty seeds of doubt about her rival, as in serious doubt about his really being one of them beneath all the stuff-shirt bluster.

She did that, you say? Not really. She beat a dead horse belaboring the obvious. She needed to get lot deeper into their heads, sans the all-to-apparent disgust, to pull it off. She needed to find the real common ground. She needed to woo them, like he did. She didn't; she lost. Facts are cool, but fears won the day. Intelligence was far more frightening than totalitarianism. Get it? Gawd help us all...

Oh well, I have maintained for years that the Republicans, as a rule, have no brains, the Democrats no balls; when both are sorely needed. Too late to rethink it, methinks.
