NDO5 Update + NEW Book
Hello, everyone!
I hope you are having a good November and that those of you in the United States have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday later this week.
In this post, I want to give you an update about the Noble Dark One, book 5 as well as to tell you about a new book I just released.
NDO5 Update
I’m really sorry about how long it’s taken me to write this Noble Dark One book. Part of the reason for the delay is that I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life that has been distracting me more than usual. (It seems like this entire year has been distracting for some reason or another…. ☹).
But a substantial part of the delay is that I’m having difficulty writing the book because it is the story of the Noble Dark One’s foray into the world of Minecraft. Prior to NDO5, I didn’t have to make sure the story in the Noble Dark One books matched up with very many events in the Surfer Villager series. However, in this book, I’ve had to be sure lots of things line up with what I wrote in SV19 and SV20. Because of that, I have to reference the prior books and rewrite sections of NDO5 that don’t quite match.
I’m doing my best to not make any mistakes. It’s difficult though because SV19 & 20 have complicated stories, especially the Noble Dark One’s role in those books.
Anyway, I’m more than halfway through the draft of the book. NDO5 is on track to be the longest book in the Noble Dark One series. I thank you so much for your patience. Barring some unforeseen event, I believe the book will be available in the middle of December.
New Release!!!!
I’ve released a new book called Would You Rather? for Minecrafters. And, as you can tell from the title, it is a compilation of “Would You Rather?” questions about Minecraft. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Some of you might be thinking, “Dr. Block. Why are you wasting your time writing a Would You Rather book when you should be writing NDO5?!”
My response is that I’ve actually been writing this book throughout the year. Any time a “would you rather” scenario popped in my head I would write down the question. Once I had enough questions, it only took a couple of days to put the book together. I spent one day compiling all those questions and another afternoon formatting everything into a book. And, lastly, I spent a day creating nearly 40 illustrations for the book. So it didn’t really take away from my writing time for NDO5.
Anyway, I hope you’ll check out the book. It’s in Kindle Unlimited and available as a paperback. If you have any friends who play Minecraft but don’t want to read Minecraft fiction, be sure to let them know about this book. I think they will enjoy it.
That’s all for now,
Dr. Block
PS – I’m going to make a BIG announcement at the back of the NDO5 book. So even if you don’t want to read NDO5, be sure to grab a KU copy and flip to the end and read my announcement. I think you’ll be happy about it.
