This season, I have not one, but two Christmas novellas out. An Ideal Christmas, in the anthology, An Amish Christmas Table, and Leaving Lancaster, in best selling, A Lancaster Amish Christmas.
The Amish celebrate Christmas differently than most of us. There are no decorated trees or blinking lights, but there is cookies, candies, and homemade cards. The week of Christmas, school children put on a program for their friends and family at the schoolhouse, where they share poems, recitations, and songs. I'll be attending two this year and find them such a joy.
