As this newsletter goes out, I'm on my way to my hometown to spend the Christmas holidays with my parents.

It's going to be strange this year. My parents have moved out of the family home. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now it feels a little bit sad - no longer getting to visit the house where I grew up... Well, I can probably still visit because it turns out that I know the woman who bought the old house - I went to school with her - but still. It’s going to be weird.
