Happy New Year, friends! Let’s kick off 2025 with a little whimsy and a whole lot of caffeine. Say hello to this year’s first Potluck Pig—and let me tell you, it’s a winner. In fact, I’m declaring it the best coffee mug in the world. (Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating—but only a little!)

Here’s the thing: as much as I adore collecting cute pigs, they take up space. I’ve learned to think twice before bringing another one into the fold. But coffee mugs? Oh, coffee mugs are a different story. There’s always room for another mug, especially one as adorable as this!

This particular gem found its way into my life at Buc-ee’s, the mecca of roadside pit stops. If you’ve been, you know it’s a little like an amusement park: massive crowds, tons of energy, but—tragically—no rides. What they do have, though, is merchandising magic. Buc-ee’s is the kind of place where you walk in for a snack and walk out with a cart full of treasures you didn’t know you needed (and possibly a lifetime supply of beaver nuggets).

Case in point: this piggy mug. It practically jumped off the shelf and into my hands. Of course, the downside to owning such a fabulous mug is that I now want to drink even more coffee. Not exactly what my caffeine intake needed, but hey, sometimes you have to live on the edge.

So here’s to the Potluck Pig and all the little joys it brings—a cheerful reminder that even impulse purchases can brighten your day (and your morning coffee routine).
