My blog has been The Age of Anxiety since 2009, but now I want to move on to The Age of Abundance. The Age of Anxiety has certainly appeared, but I’m convinced that we are now moving towards a world of abundance . If we don’t make this move we will be assaulted by the effects of climate change, and who can tell what that future will bring .

I’m encouraged by the thinking of Dr David Deutsch , who sees the possibility of our using the increasing power of technology and science to solve our problems . Deutsch is not a dreamer as his book The Beginning of Infinity proves.

We are unable to fund this new future because we view the Green costs as if they are a tax or financial burden and so are reluctant to pay . But we need to view these Green costs in a different way. We need to understand they are investments in our survival , and we have to pony up if we want to have a chance to continue the progress we have made .

The hurricanes , floods , fires and earthquakes are increasing each year and we are not taking them seriously . We have to face the facts of climate change and change our attitude to Green costs . Invest in the future or our children and grandchildren suffer the consequences is the reality.
