Picture A visit to the Gasconade River. A view atop a bridge that will one day be crossed by visitors using Rock Island Trail State Park. An exciting development! Writing Highlights: Progress continues on The Blighter’s Shadow! My new position with Missouri State Parks started on January 1 and some personal family obligations required my focus elsewhere as I adjust to the new work requirements and to help my family. (Your patience is greatly appreciated!)Writing Project #1 is still in the works. Hint: it will relate to my martial arts journey. Writing on Substack continued. I offered a few brief letters about current events since the beginning of the year.I submitted an essay on Spirit Trail, which should see publication in Missouri Resources later this year. It was exciting project that I helped bring to fruition. I'll be working on another article for the publication later this year. I provided insight into a proclamation for an upcoming historic event in Warrensburg, Missouri. Mystic Springs: A Collection of Anomalies was released! Go here to check it out: https://writersofwsbg.weebly.com/myst...
I have a few Beta Readers committed to assisting with reading the entire book prior to its final publication. There is still time to assist. If you are interested, please let me know via email. I’ll get you details on the next steps as soon as I finish the first full draft.

Inspiration:
This section is more fleshed out at Substack. You can find a series of essays at Substack. Visit this link to subscribe.

Substack is a relatively new social media platform without all the ads you’ll see elsewhere. Thus, without the ads, there is much less distraction, which allows greater focus.

You may be thinking: How can I help an author?

It’s easy really – share this update or other authors’ newsletters with your friends. Encourage them to sign up for newsletters/updates of the authors they enjoy reading.

Write a review of the book you finished. You don’t have to write much at all. “I enjoyed this book” is a simple, yet effective method and takes a few seconds.

What am I reading, watching, and listening to?

Check https://www.danbrigman.com/what-im-reading.html for more information on my recent recommendations.

The Fellowship of the Ring, as read by Andy Serkis, is a phenomenal audio version.

I'm currently listening to Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey. Great listen, so far!

Challenge:
Focus on the transition from winter to spring. Pay attention to the temperature change, the blooming flowers and trees, and the chirping of birds. If you have a pet (fur friend), see how they respond to the changing season.

Take a deep breath and a walk, if able.
