I am sitting at a local bar watching as a man turns his chair away from his lady in a way that says, “leave me alone, so I can watch basketball.” He is laughing and cutting up with others around him while she sits alone and wonders “why am I here?” As she waits …

It is in times like these, as I imagine the thoughts and circumstances of others, often in public settings, that characters come to life.

Though she doesn’t know it, this curious woman will, one day, inspire a character that will light up the eyes of all around her.
