QUIP: I'm sitting here with a stopped-up nose, running eyes, and nose, and the biggest headache ever! Yet again...a M'Fing K-drama and their need to win an Emmy and the Korean equivalent having writers, have molly-wopped wrecked my whole being with this beautifully crafted story about a generational love, and the branched connections around the pair. The writers gave us marmalade! Absolutely beautifully done.

Our period story introduces us to Oh Ae-sun / Yang Geum-myeong a tender-fire spirit (played by IU) [ I LOVED IU in Hotel Del Luna, check that out ] and her green flag, puppy energy of a fated sweetheart, Yang Gwan-sik (played by Park Bo-gum) [ he was a good't man Savanna...a good't man ]. We follow the pair as they grow up together and eventually fall in love. I highly recommend this series, outside of the generational trajectory of the pair. We also get a view of the community changes connected to both leads as well and we experience the interconnecting ways life takes us in this journey and helps us understand the stories before us, around us, and next to us.
