And we did.

Welp, my lovely people, I finally did what needed to be done and went to the movies! YAY!!! Ya'll know that I had to do this. Ryan Coogler's assignment was laid out, and I had to take it to task. Sinners! Yes...not named after my book series or about my book series...or is it? Is out! The way I have been waiting on this since its announcement, and I was NOT disappointed in the least. What I WAS upset about were...ya'll rude arse spoiler chumps!

But I digress. For this review, my think piece will not be going down. I'll be keeping this short. Here we go. Immersing myself in griot Ryan's dark fantasy period felt like...home. And if you all are truly readers of my works, ya'll know what and clock what I'm saying and not saying. I absolutely loved this world. The lover of history in my sung proudly in my soul, my eyes watered in joy. The writer of pararomance and vamps that I am smiled brightly in watching it all in vivid action. YES, I LOVED...yet again, the love letter Ryan gave to Black culture, our roots, and history. Because I don't do spoilers, I'll leave it at that. Take yourself to the theatre if you're able, watch with an open mind, and enjoy the escapism and imagery.
