A Bittersweet Announcement

I’m back for a bittersweet announcement. I’ve been considering this blog for some time and realized I need a change. I burned out on my previous content. It was very time-consuming for very little and it became too much.

I’ve decided to, at least for now, not post written reviews. I’ll still be reviewing books on my YouTube channel which I’ll share here, so you’ll still be able to get my opinions. I might write reviews, but, like with audio description critiques, only if there’s something I really want to say.

I won’t be pushing myself to post on a schedule. I’ve really been enjoying dropping occasional posts. I plan to publish creative writing. This will include poetry, flash fiction, short stories, and, whenever I’m in the mood, creative nonfiction. I hope you enjoy this new direction, even though I may not always be posting. I do have a bunch of poems I have edited that I’ll publish in the next few weeks, but, after that, I don’t know what comes next.

Finally, I’ve decided to shelve The Rightful Bride. I know at least a few of you enjoyed it and I did too. However, I couldn’t follow the schedule I wanted. Also, my hope was to show writers that first drafts aren’t perfect. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that, sometimes, you have to shelve a project in the first draft. It can be for any reason.

Thanks for reading today. I’ll see you next week.
