I keep wondering about the meaning of our times. There are strange things going on.

Why do people in the richest nation in history feel cheated and angry?

What has caused people who sincerely believe themselves to be committed followers of Jesus to become advocates for the angry me-first mindset he warned so often against?

What force has driven us into camps so antagonistic to each other that families and friends can’t even discuss their differences?

What is it that so many love about Donald Trump?

If the answers to these questions are somehow related, what is the central force at work?
