The Ghost Is Stirring

The bones of the story are in place.

There’s something satisfying, almost sacred, about reaching the end of a first draft. It’s raw, unpredictable, and often heavier than you expected. But it breathes. That’s the important part.

Now comes the second round of editing. This is where the real work begins. It’s no longer just about telling the story. It’s about refining the shape of it, carving deeper into its truths, and listening closely to what wants to be said between the lines. Sometimes it whispers. Sometimes it resists.

This phase is quieter, more deliberate. I’m smoothing the edges, adjusting the rhythm, paying attention to shadows I might have missed. The goal is not perfection. The goal is resonance.

And as I step back into this strange, haunted world, I can feel it... the ghost is stirring again.

Thanks for following along. I’ll share more as the work unfolds.
