Mom, Why is Grandpa in a Wheelchair?
I've released a short children's book, Mom, Why is Grandpa in a Wheelchair? available in ebook(KU) & paperback on Amazon. I used drawings I've done and family photos to help tell the story of how I think it would have went had I needed to ask the question. I think the story is set for ages 5 and over but I also think adult can learn a little something too, we tend to forget just how observant children can be and often learn more from actions than words but we all need both. I hope my story helps approach a subject, wheelchairs and mobility aids in general, that can go overlooked and I hope there is some entertainment here too. I think both my mother and grandfather would be pleased with the way I've used personal experience to tell the story and subject.
