Moonday

Moonday Moonday by J.F Clayton

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A charmingly quirky piece of writing that comes from a non sci-fi style. It works because the subject and the characters all work to create a world reminiscent of an old 50's black and white end-of-the-world movie.

Full of clever and inventive conceits that are at the heart of great sci-fi writing. You go along with them because the writing itself is compelling and completely engrossing. Forget dragons, starfighters and superheroes. Sometimes the biggest heroes are just ordinary people in extraordinary situations with no magic swords or wands or superpowers, just their own ingenuity and determination.

Go read it!
