It’s time for my Mid-Year Reading Update 2025! Join me as I reflect on how I’m tracking toward my 2025 reading goal and share some of the standout science fiction and fantasy books I’ve read so far.

This year, I took a different approach by setting a smaller, more flexible goal, allowing space for chunky reads and unexpected opportunities—like contributing an essay to an upcoming Starman Saga book!

Highlights so far:

Wind and Truth by Brandon Sanderson – a massive but rewarding read to cap off The Stormlight Archive (for now)

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky – checking off a modern sci-fi classic from my TBR
