A traveling artist, Pascal Gaspard, arrives at a Wyoming Territory sheep ranch to paint the portrait of the owner’s niece, Rhosyn Caddock. At the same time, a salesman she’s been corresponding with in a mail-order arrangement travels to the same ranch to see if they are compatible. The artist is attracted to the woman, although his journey to discover new places is also his way to earn enough to open a gallery, and knows the salesman has a questionable character. Does he reveal what he knows, or does he let her make her own judgment?
