What’s been happening..
I started having bouts of reoccurring nausea towards the beginning of June 6th, this year. (2025).
We had initially assumed it was due to my ongoing complications from my type 2 diabetes, which has also led to some scarring in my upper left eye, which blurs that part of my range of eyesight. My right eye tries to compensate but the vision differences is big between the two. I get injections in both eyes now from the Retina specialist to try to reduce any further damage and improve vision. I go back every four to six weeks for those. I go back again next month in August.
I have been having mobility issues, which is affecting my legs and sense of balance. It also led to me being prescribed a cane.
I also just generally get tired out easily and need help with getting up and down stairs, among other things. We had the landlord provide a handrail for our stairs due to it as well.
In June, I had two trips to the emergency room. Mostly due to dehydration and the other due to having a fall while on the way to get lab work done.
We ended up having to have an ambulance called for me at our apartment at the beginning of JULY. I was taken to the ER. I wasn’t able to talk clearly, was really weak, had been throwing up every day for over a week, and was just feeling incredibly off as well as sick.
I ended up being very dehydrated and was admitted to the hospital. The next afternoon I ended up having surgery to remove my gallbladder. It had multiple stones and was badly infected.
I’m back home from all that. But the nausea has been a persistent problem sense.
We followed up with my surgeon. It’s not due to complications from the surgery. My incisions are healing well and I don’t need further follow ups with her at least.
I see my family doctor tomorrow and we are going to be following up with a kidney doctor and endocrinologist as well. It came up on my blood work that my creatinine levels are high.
The nausea is the main problem at the moment besides mobility. Though mobility issues improved a little bit after the surgery. I think I just need to finish healing to get back to being able to use the cane for myself. Not sure though yet.
It is frustrating, though. It’s been a lot.
