In Book One, On the Edge, the heroine, Glory, is writing a romance with a hero loosely based on Rolf, her love interest. In Book Two, From the Top, while Nate and Ilke find their HEA, Rolf’s stepmother gets with Glory’s father, much to their children’s dismay.

In Too Deep is a tiny bit different. Trigg and Wren have great chemistry and tons of conflict in the fact that Wren has been raising Trigg’s daughter since her sister died–not telling him until Sky turned twelve. I wanted a B plot, but I needed twelve-year-old Sky to have a lot of time on the page while she works out her adolescent issues. Instead of a romance, I had her develop a relationship with her mother through her mom’s diary entries.
