Adventure(s) Time!
That’s right, adventures. Plural.
Fans and friends it has been almost two years since I last wrote a blog post. It simultaneously feels like it has been less and more time but here we are.
I’m sorry to say I’ve allowed life to get in the way of my passion for writing and it, and the sequel to The Sword & Shield – aka The Sea & Storm – fell by the wayside as a result.
In the past two years I’ve changed jobs, renewed my commitment to a healthier lifestyle (and let that fall by the wayside as well) and ready many many many books.
So what new adventures am I embarking on, you ask? Well I recently began working at a company that makes me feel supported and encouraged to learn and grow in a role that aligns with my past experience while also challenging me. Additionally, last summer I met my forever person and we are in the process of merging two homes into one!
But enough about my life. What about my writing?!?
I am regularly attending a local writing group comprised of fellow writers and the routine is keeping me on a decent schedule to finish The Sea & Storm by end of year (fingers aggressively crossed). I have also signed up for a site called Dabble which, much like Scrivener, is great for writers who need a little help to map out their projects and organize their thoughts. I couldn’t use Scrivener with my Chromebook but I like Dabble as much, if not more!
I plan on attending a writer’s conference this fall to find a new agent as my previous agent is no longer working with fantasy authors so send positive agent-hunting vibes my way.
More to come and on a regular basis moving forward, I promise!
Side note, my book is (last time I checked) available at Road Less Traveled Books in Farmington, MI!
