I Didn’t Want To Wake You Up
I am not sure anyone could imagine how bad it is. However one of the worst places is lying awake at 3am, not knowing how to help her in her agony. My heart breaking, I wrote this love song:‘Last night I awoke and watched youWhile you slept Wondering how much pain you were inAnd if a coffee would helpI didn’t want to wake you upI couldn’t tell if you were asleep or notAll I could do wasLie there and try toFind some rest myselfBefore another day of endless tortureBeginsPraying for a miracle for youDear Lord would you help us both get throughThe emptiness of the hours aheadHelp me as I lie in this bedPraying forA miracleFor youI got up silentlyTo make a note of this songI had to do it right awayBefore it was goneBut love still burnsInside of meI pray one dayI might walk with youOnce more upon the beachLike we used to doWhen you and IWould keep each other warmOn misty daysPraying for a miracle for youDear Lord would you help us both get throughThe emptiness of the hours aheadHelp me as I lie in this bedPraying forA miracleFor you “
