Now that Current Disasters is out in the world (get your copy here), I’m turning my writing attention to a novel-in-progress.

I’ve written the first draft and so now the hard part begins.

But I can never seem to shake the short form.

During a Zoom reading call F-Bomb with some fabulous writers and poets, I heard about a lit site that publishes only six-sentence stories.

Hmmm, I thought, I bet I have something for that.

I looked at my rather large folder of unpublished work and found a not-very-good poem about the cicada emergence a few years ago.

I worked it into a six-sentence flash piece and submitted it, and voila, it was published!
