IWSG September Post
Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting! Be sure to link to this page and display the badge in your post. And please be sure your avatar links back to your blog! Otherwise, when you leave a comment, people can't find you to comment back.
Let’s rock the neurotic writing world!
Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG and hashtag is #IWSG.
The awesome co-hosts for the September 3 posting of the IWSG are Kim Lajevardi, Natalie Aguirre, Nancy Gideon, and Diedre Knight!
Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say.
Remember, the question is optional!
September 3 question - What are your thoughts on using AI, such as GPChat, Raptor, and others with your writing? Would you use it for research, storybible, or creating outlines\beats?
Hi Dear other IWSG posters! I have missed the last month or two. I plan my post and then it seems that chaos reigns in my household the day of IWSG. I know, it is an excuse. I could write my post ahead of time, and in all actuality I really try to. I'm just not good about planning and writing and scheduling my posts. I can't even do that with my newsletter which I send out once a week. Such is life for me. So I apologize for missing the last ones. This month's question is an interesting one. I feel like the answers are going to range along with emotions on the subject. I don't use AI in my writing, planning or composing. Writing is the one thing that I am able to do with only my creativity. It is why I write. To express my feelings and share my stories in the way that only I can do. I want it to be hard and I want to make mistakes. I love the feeling of writing something, taking long walks thinking about where I am stuck, talking to other people, and reworking it. I am not against other writers using it. That is up to them. I don't care. It doesn't affect my writing or what I am going to be doing. I do use AI to help me write my medical notes and emails for work. I just don't want it to help my writing. What do you think? Do you use AI for your writing? Hugs,Allie How do you feel about it?
