✨ Writing Update ✨

I just put the final touches on Lost in Translation — and wow, this one took me on a ride I won’t forget anytime soon.

Connor Byrne, a restless travel journalist, and Hiroshi Sato, a quiet, guarded architect, meet in the heart of Tokyo under the guise of a cultural liaison arrangement. What starts as playful banter and cultural clashes turns into something much deeper — a romance that builds in the neon glow of Shinjuku nights and the hush of temple gardens.

I loved exploring the push and pull between Connor’s open warmth and Hiroshi’s restraint. Their chemistry surprised me, simmering until it finally cracked through Hiroshi’s walls in ways that felt both tender and explosive. Writing Tokyo as more than just a backdrop — making the city a living, breathing part of their story — was a dream come true.

This story is all about the moments that don’t need translation: a lingering glance, a hand caught just a second too long, the silent question of will you stay?

Lost in Translation releases this Wednesday, and I can’t wait for you to meet these two! 💙
