“Captain,” the AI said, “That will leave the ship locked between dimensions. Your hibernation will never end.”

Tears formed in Richard’s eyes. He was surprised it took this long for them to come. “I’m aware, computer. I could use the rest.”

“As you wish, Captain. I shall shut down once we enter warp to ensure your orders are carried out.”

“Thank you, computer.”
