Hello, Goodreads friends!

I’m Colleen, and I’m so excited to be here as a brand-new author with my very first novel coming out on November 4th, 2025.

Before I ever dreamed of writing a book, I spent nearly two decades training dolphins—which means yes, I’m fluent in squawks and side eye. Those years gave me incredible adventures (I’ve worked in four countries, visited at least twenty, and collected more passport stamps than souvenirs). But they also gave me something even better: stories. The dolphins I worked with, the ocean itself, and the people I met all left ripples that eventually found their way into my writing.

Books have always been my anchor. As a kid, I maxed out my library card on the regular, then worked in both a bookstore and a library just to stay surrounded by my happy place. Now, I get to add “author” to that list, which feels surreal and thrilling all at once. Pinch me!

My debut, Undercurrents of Love, is the first book in The Lagoon Chronicles—a sweet island romance series filled with dolphins, suspense, and a touch of adventure. In it, Riley Byrne is fighting to save her dream of a world-class marine research facility, while Gray Whittal is chasing ambitions that may cost him everything. Their worlds collide in a swirl of romance, secrets, and a chase that could change everything.

If you love workplace romance, island settings, or a few mischievous dolphins stealing the spotlight, I think you’ll enjoy this story.
