Becky Takes on NYC This Week and CT Next Week

Book Cover-- a mottled gray and white background with a tall and long black figure with claw like hands. It is black and ominous with a tiny head, Not too scary, just ominous. on its left, it is holding the hand of a small black human figure who is leading it confidently. Overlaid is the title- WHY I LOVE HORROR (1 word per row). The letters are in a dark gray but the letters that overlap with the monster are in red. In the top right corner it says "Edited by Becky Siegel Spratford" And down in the bottom right in the space just above where the monster and figure are holding hands it says "Essays on Horror Literature."

I am in NYC all week for event to promote Why I Love Horror and it has been going great. We had over 150 people at the NYPL event Tuesday night. Clay got a great picture of the full audience as we came in from the back. That plus many other pictures from friends in the audience can be found here.

You can always go here to see my tour schedule. It is also pinned to the top of every page of the blog. I am updating it with photos as I go along, but today, I wanted to not only share the photos from NYPL, but also remind you all that I will be at Twisted Spine tonight and Clay has some fun planned.

I head home this weekend and will be at the ILA Annual Conference before heading right back to the NY are for StoryFest in CT. This is a huge event held at Westport Library. They have their schedule finalized, and I wanted to share that here today as well.

Below you can see all the details about these three events.

I was surprised at dinner after the NYPL event by Joe Monti with the news that the book just went into a third printing! Keep it up everyone. We are spreading the love of Horror and the power of Readers' Advisory all over this country. Thank you for all of support.
