Hi, my name is SL Rutland and I'm an Australian indie author who have just released my epic fantasy novel and several sci-fi short stories which will continue to be published and put into an yearly anthology with hopes to release two - three episodic parts per month.

I am ex Australian defence force and now work in IT. I am happily married and a father of two. I began writing a fantasy world for a tabletop game which then turned into a foundation for my first novel. I have decided to dedicate my writing solely to that world and I am excited to share it's stories with you all.

With my current studies (creative writing) underway I have found myself returning to my novel The Caramere Saga, Book 1: The War of Vengeance and rereading it. I have sold almost 50 copies so far. More than what I had expected and I wanted to make sure it is in the best possible state for any future sales.

I have recently completed the editing section of the course, and I have during the read through found mistakes that I hadn't picked up through my many previous editing sessions. I feel it is a never-ending endeavour especially with a novel with 150k word count.

I'll be releasing the updated version the Amazon KDP once I have completed the editing read through and hope it is to a level I am and any future readers are happy with. Writing the sequel is going well and I'm excited to begin receiving reviews for the first book to see what people liked disliked about the story and my writing in general. I can't wait for what readers think and thank everyone who takes the time to read it.
