Audiobook and Book 2 Update
Hey all,
Hope you had an awesome Halloween! Just was giving a little update on stuff. The audiobook for book 1 is now halfway done...lol, which is entirely my fault. It would probably be complete by now, but I have come to find I can be VERY picky. I want to thank Finian Schwarz so much for his patience, he is an awesome voice actor and I highly recommend him to any author interested in doing an audiobook. Unfortunately, it probably won't be finished in time for me to list it on Netgalley since my 6 months is up in January. But I will be sure to post the first few chapters on my website for anyone who wants to hear them.
I also had some people reach out and ask about book 2, so I wanted to give an update on that. I actually had the rough draft written for book 2, before I even tried to publish book 1. I made sure of that because I wanted to run the book by my beta readers to make sure all the little things tied together and the story flowed nicely( ex: Mireen is mentioned to always wear an emerald necklace in book 1, you find out why in book 2. Kye is reading up on transference rituals in the library in book 1, that plays a BIG part of book 2, and so on and so forth). My beta readers seemed to like the story, hoping everyone else does too.
I do listen to feedback, and some of the responses I got from the first book is that writing could be a little clunky in places. So I will be working with a new editor in the new year to smooth it up and release it as soon as possible. But I would say it is still probably about 6 months or so out ( that is just my rough estimate with cover art, descriptive editing, two rounds copy editing, time to make revisions and stuff like that). I am currently writing book 3, and hopefully will have a good chunk done by the time book 2 is released. I have the whole story outlined out, it is just finding time to write it. For anyone that is interested, I was going to release chapter 1 of book 2 on my website in December, just to give an idea where the story is headed. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
