I realize some of you were expecting Alexis's revenge story. I get it! After that ending in Broken Vows, you wanted BLOOD! 😅 I do as well!
But here's why I HAD to tell Olivia's story BEFORE Jeremy's:
While you all were screaming about Jeremy and Lilly (trust me, I hate them too! 🙄), I kept thinking about this baby who didn't ask for ANY of this drama. That baby grew up into a teenager who sees her mom's smile fade whenever "dad" is mentioned, has a heart condition that forces her to need her father's medical history, gets hit with some TRUTH but not everything, and deserves her own love story while navigating this mess.
Yes, Alexis tells her some things - she HAD to! But notice what she doesn't do? She doesn't give her every horrible detail. When Olivia learns what she learns, she processes it in her OWN way, as her OWN person. Olivia isn't there to be anyone's sword of revenge. She's a teenager trying to figure out her own life while dealing with family drama she never asked for.
Now about Book 3... BROKEN TRUST 👀
It's Jeremy's POV - but NOT right after Book 1. It's 5 YEARS after Alexis left. You needed to see Olivia as her own person BEFORE you see her through her father's eyes. You needed to understand what Alexis protected her from and the life they built WITHOUT him.
