My storm data keeps showing impossible readings, the town’s weather is acting like it has a temper, and every time Gilbert Carol—the accidental deer missile himself—is nearby, the air practically hums with electricity.
Something’s happening to me—something I can’t explain with science. And if the universe thinks pairing me with a chaotic shifter who can’t stay out of trouble is the way to teach me about magic, it has a wicked sense of humor.
