Thank you and MarsCon appearance details

I’m sorry for the delay in posting. I have a goal for November of getting a solid first draft of the first 15 chapters of The Enigma Key (aka SPI Files 9). However, life keeps pushing in, and I keep shoving back, but I’m making progress and that’s good.

Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who donated to me, Derek, and/or Ruby for the Fourth Annual Franklin All-Nighter walk/run for mental health! The total for our team (The Couch Potatoes, because retired racing greyhounds are known as 45-mph couch potatoes) was just over $1K! The grand total for the approximately 230 participants was over $35K, which exceeded the goal of $30K. We couldn’t have gotten there without your help! THANK YOU!

A reminder to register if you’re interested in attending MarsCon 2026 in Virginia Beach, VA, January 16-18, 2026. Until December 1, registration for the entire weekend is only $50. I will be either moderating or a panelist in the following sessions:

Creativity and Mental HealthHandwriting vs Typing: Which is Better for Creativity?Self-Publishing Pros and Cons Economics of Self-PublishingPantsing vs Plotting Writer’s BlockThe Benefits of Editing

I’ll also be hosting two events: a tea and a crochet/knit chat session (bring your projects!). I will also be giving away copies of my books and crochet bookmarks that I’m making. I was given the opportunity to sell my books in a booth, but we’re all having a tough time financially right now, so I’m giving them away. Books need to be read, not stacked on my shelves. The only catch is that you have to come up and talk to me. ; )

Going back at work!
Lisa
