Introducing Bella Brightside: A New Pen Name for My Latest Adventure

Hello Dear Readers,

It’s been quite a while since I’ve blogged as I tend to share news on Instagram and Facebook, BUT I’ve also had an incredibly busy 12 months. Reflecting back, I’ve signed with a new agent, worked on no less than three different projects, chaired panels at writing events, appeared on podcasts, delivered webinars on the writing craft, and critiqued manuscripts for aspiring authors. This is on top of a full-time job and personal commitments.

Phew! For anyone who says they’d love to write a book if only they had time, this just goes to show that it is possible – please do message me if you want to chat about this as I’m very happy to share how I sustain the juggling act…

One thing I’m really passionate about is getting books into the hands of readers, and for several different reasons I won’t bore you with, it hasn’t happened for a fair few years. So, I’m absolutely delighted to announce that I am bringing a book out in March 2026! It’s in a slightly different sub-genre to my previous work as Nikki Moore (rom-coms) and Ella Allbright (commercial women’s fiction) so, I have a new pen name: Bella Brightside.

Choosing pen names can be challenging, but I knew from the start because this is feel-good women’s fiction/romance with a magical twist, it had to be something warm and uplifting to reflect the genre. What do you think of Bella Brightside – do you like it? I’ve had some lovely feedback (and offers of support) already but would love to hear more.

I’m planning a cover, title and blurb reveal in November with an ebook pre-order link, but for now this is the exciting stuff I can tell you:

Magic has been on my mind a lot over the past couple of years and I decided that with so many heartbreaking things going on in the world, we need MORE JOY, so this is my contributionThe setting is Little Beaubrook. It’s a tiny fictional village on the Dorset-Hampshire border, but my aim is to make it feel real and somewhere you’d want to spend time. As a massive reader, I love it when authors provide an escape to fictional places that I can still imagine exists outside of their heads. Hopefully, I’ve done it with this book ✨ 📖 ✨Little Beaubrook has been hidden for decades until now… and can only be seen by certain peopleIt has a history of helping people most in need, and Albie Curville is going to need all the help he can get to fulfil his late wife’s dying wish before he runs out of timeIf you previously read The Last Charm then I think you’ll recognise my author voice but with some added sparkles and magical happenings ✨

I’m posting weekly teasers every Monday on Instagram (@authorbythesea1207) until the cover/title/blurb reveal, so if you want to know more, you can catch it over there. I also have a new Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BellaBrightsideAuthor where I’ll share news including behind the scenes info. Please find and follow 🙂

That’s it for now, so until the next time – happy reading and writing.

Love Nikki x
