I’ll Take It
First of all, let me assure you that the cat is fine! He bounced back after treatment. I still have the chore of one more vet appointment. And I have to try and squirt antibiotics down his throat a couple of times a day for the rest of the week. After all this, he’ll probably never let me get near him again. But, we will have our cat around for years instead of days or months. I’ll take it.
The other thing that happened is at 2 am Saturday, water started backing up in our basement. The kids who sleep down there caught it early. They were able to corral it with towels, and we had to call a serviceman. Another unexpected bill, but at least the kids noticed it in time. I’ll take that, too.
With all this going on, I never connected with my friend about the cover art for Stones and Zones. I have my hopes for this Friday. On the other hand, being exhausted and stressed gave me a weird energy surge. I was able to write through a complicated scene in The Warlock’s Army. I also managed to get to a nearby farming area, pick pumpkins and relax with a glass of wine.
Once again, I’ll take it!
Have you read one of my books? Then it would be great for you to leave a review! Meanwhile, if you’d like to learn more about me and my work, check out my website, Bluesky, Facebook or Pinterest.
