About a week ago, I got a package at my front door. Inside was a hardcover book that I had written.

BTS Song by Song: Chapter One.

I got surprisingly emotional to hold it in my hands. There were so many moments when I didn’t believe it was really going to happen, so many things that could have gone wrong along the way. I mean, what kind of publisher drops you an email one day to ask you if you want to write a book about your favourite band? Yes please to that, and I don’t even care if it’s a scam.

(Well, I cared a little. Turns out it wasn’t a scam, to my relief.)

My friend Dani asked me on Facebook if I was happy with the book, and I told her it was a loaded question. I wish I had double the word count, as there were many stories and songs I had to leave out. I wish I had time to proofread it a 14th time, as the first 13 times revealed a typo every single time (if you find one, don’t tell me!). I wish I had a bigger budget for photos.

But overall, yes – I’m happy. Not just happy; thrilled.
