Hi there. I'm new to writing... not new to books. Prior to getting my feet wet with The Comfiest Pillow, I was a beta reader for the last 12 years. Was always asked why I don't write and I always answered that I'm not able too... I guess for me it took a moment when I brought joy to someone else with my stories.
You see, I have a little boy and he is always asking me to tell him a story. He'd give me a character name and 1 idea and I had to run with it. Typically it would evolve into dragons and sword fighting and ended in a fit of giggles.
One time though, he clutched his pillow and wouldn't leave the house w/out it and that got my mind racing about all the different security items he had through the years. At times it was a coaster, or a toy, a stuffy... but it always came back to his pillow.
So here I am, a first time author with a pretty awesome book (which my boy still asks me to read to him almost daily). I guess the question is... what comes next?
