The Dreams That Shape Us and Other Stories is a collection of dark speculative fiction and poetry exploring life, death, and the places in between. Ghosts who don’t know they’re dead, a vampire coming of age, a tree who wants to live a different life, and people – or other things – who yearn for more than they have, unaware life often falls short in its delivery.

Stories range from 30-word micro fictions to 3,000 words. Many have been previously published and some have won or been shortlisted in competitions. The cover art was commissioned based on the collection’s title story, and artist Lynette Orzlowski has interpreted the theme wonderfully. The book launches officially at the Oddities and Curiosities Expo in Melbourne on 22 and 23 November 2025, where I’ll have the special silver foil edition available for sale along with my other books.
